She’s here!!! Mackenzie was born July 23rd at 3.52 am. She’s 8 lbs. 4 oz and 20 inches long. That’s all for now, just wanted to make an update about what was going on.

On Sunday Dan and I went to Marissa’s baby shower. It was tons of fun, and there was lots of yummy foods! Zack, Melissa’s husband took this photo and I absolutely love it, it’s so cute with all of our bellies touching. I also got some sun at the baby shower [...]
Here are our cloth diapers that I’ve been sewing for our little girl. They are pocket diapers, and we have 27 extra smalls all ready to go. These only take me about 30 minutes to sew, and they come along pretty nicely. I have all of the small already cut out [...]
This is our new car seat cover, I took apart the original one to make the new one. Instead of creating a pattern (which would have been pretty easy) I just sewed the new fabric over the original pieces and then sewed them all back together. I wish I would have taken [...] It’s been 38 weeks, it’s so crazy. I have so many things to share, but I keep forgetting to upload my pics from my camera. I’ll work on doing that in the next few days. Well here’s what I’ve been up to lately:

I missed both my first and second flights, it was a bummer, I was crying (I blame it on my hormones) and was really upset that I wasn’t going to make it to see my mom at all. I finally arrived, and all was [...] We are such huge Johnny Cash fans, that we couldn’t pass up this amazing little onesie today. We got it from a local record store, but you can find it here: TheRetroBaby.com It was also nice finding something in black for a baby, Dan keeps asking where the black is, well here it [...] Okay well maybe not the entire trip is planned, but the tickets have been purchased. Looks like I’ll be leaving Seattle and arriving in Des Moines on May 14th. I’ll get in around 1.20 pm. I’m leaving to head back to Seattle on May 20th at 10 am. My birthday is the 17th, so [...] |
